Dinner Date - Shish Kebab

During the warmer months in can be difficult to find something appealing to eat in the heat. It's summer time - lets roll out the grill (but can be done on the stove too)

Cut 1 pound beef top sirloin, 1 medium onion and 1 green pepper into 1-inch cubes. You can add other vegetables if you like such as red pepper, yellow pepper, zucchini. Not into the beef use prawns or chicken!

Combine 1/2 cup vegetable oil, 1/3 cup soy sauce and 1/4 cup brown sugar in a baking dish. Add beef and marinate at least 1 hour.

Preheat grill to medium hot. Thread sirloin, peppers and onions onto skewers.
Reserve marinade to baste over kebabs while cooking. This gives veggies extra flavor and keeps meat from becoming dry.

Serve over bed of hot rice.
